(Mon, 06 Feb 2012 08:07:30 PST)
Officials are planning a special welcome for the Giants when their charter plane lands at Newark Liberty International Airport Monday afternoon. The Port Authority says a water cannon will salute the Super Bowl champions as their plane taxis to a hangar. The players will get on buses before heading to the team's headquarters in East Rutherford.

Apologies from NFL, NBC after M.I.A. flips bird
(Mon, 06 Feb 2012 08:01:33 PST)
British hip-hop artist M.I.A.'s obscene gesture in the Super Bowl halftime show is prompting apologies from NBC and the NFL. But it isn't immediately registering as a moment that viewers latched on to. The digital video recorder maker Tivo said Monday that there wasn't an appreciable bump in viewers who played back the moment where M.I.A.

Man wins $50,000 on Tom Brady’s safety
(Mon, 06 Feb 2012 07:50:56 PST)
A safety is a rare play in any game, but for it to happen in the Super Bowl as the first score of the game? No one would expect that to happen. No one would lay a bet on something … Continue reading ?

Ole Miss and Giants QB Eli Manning Wins Second Super Bowl MVP Award: Fan's Reaction (Yahoo! Contributor Network)
(Mon, 06 Feb 2012 07:40:00 PST)
For the second time in his eight year NFL career, Eli Manning of the New York Giants, my favorite NFL team, won a Super Bowl and was chosen as the game's MVP. Last night, Sunday, February 5, 2012, Eli Manning led the Giants to a great victory over the New England Patriots,...

Eli Manning, the King of Clutch (Yahoo! Contributor Network)
(Mon, 06 Feb 2012 07:38:00 PST)
Appreciate quarterback Eli Manning, New York Giants fans, because performers like him are rare. Hours prior to Super Bowl XLVI, I conversed with a couple of pals at Yankee Stadium. I told them New York was going to defeat the New England Patriots--not just due to being a better team...

James Harrison on Patriots: ‘Cheaters never win’
(Mon, 06 Feb 2012 07:09:48 PST)
James Harrison knows why the New England Patriots lost Super Bowl XLVI. In the minutes after the New York Giants sealed a 21-17 victory on Sunday night, James Harrison took to Twitter to offer his insight into the game. Like … Continue reading ?

Tom Coughlin has 2 Super Bowls, and job for life
(Mon, 06 Feb 2012 06:41:31 PST)
No more hot seat for Tom Coughlin. No more second-guessing. The 65-year-old Coughlin made NFL history on Sunday, becoming the oldest coach to win a Super Bowl by guiding the Giants to a 21-17 victory over New England for his second NFL championship in four years. "What I was concerned with was these guys making their own history," Coughlin said.

Eli Manning's big gamble down the stretch foils Tom Brady, Patriots again
(Mon, 06 Feb 2012 06:22:00 PST)
The Giants' QB made a clutch throw in the closing minutes that not even some of his teammates expected.

Gisele Bundchen rips Patriots receivers
(Mon, 06 Feb 2012 06:16:19 PST)
If there's anyone who should be aware when cameras are around, it should be someone who made her gajillions as a supermodel. Gisele Bundchen, Tom Brady's wife, was upset about the New England Patriots' loss to the New York Giants … Continue reading ?

(Mon, 06 Feb 2012 05:44:51 PST)
The NFL and a major television network are apologizing for another Super Bowl halftime show.

Giants Dominate, Hang Around Long Enough to Win Super Bowl: A Fan's Recap (Yahoo! Contributor Network)
(Mon, 06 Feb 2012 05:22:00 PST)
The 2012 Super Bowl score read 21-17 for the New York Giants in favor of the New England Patriots. However, the score could have been much different in so many ways in favor of both teams. When the Super Bowl started, it looked like the Giants would run all over the Patriots - and...

Column: The 'new' Belichick lasts less than a week
(Mon, 06 Feb 2012 04:56:50 PST)
By JIM LITKE AP Sports Columnist

Weekend Sports in Brief
(Mon, 06 Feb 2012 03:11:48 PST)
Eli Manning outdid Tom Brady to lead the New York Giants to a 21-17 victory over the New England Patriots in Sunday's Super Bowl - in older brother Peyton's house, at that.

James Harrison Draws Hate with Comments After the Super Bowl: NFL Fan View (Yahoo! Contributor Network)
(Mon, 06 Feb 2012 01:59:00 PST)
After Super Bowl XLVI, many athletes turned to Twitter to share their reactions. Although most of the posts centered on congratulating the New York Giants for beating the New England Patriots with a final score of 21-17, James Harrison had a different reaction.

Column: Brady will get another chance at legacy
(Mon, 06 Feb 2012 01:43:33 PST)
Tom Brady was one of the last ones out of the shower, perhaps hoping some extra hot water would help take the sting out of a crushing Super Bowl loss. In a nearly deserted New England Patriots locker room, he sat wearily pulling on his boots, the pained look on his face never changing. A few moments earlier, Joe Montana had walked down the hallway just outside, but there would be no meeting of...

Mistakes cost Pats in Giants' 21-17 Super Bowl win
(Mon, 06 Feb 2012 01:20:29 PST)
By HOWARD ULMAN AP Sports Writer

Giants top Pats for 2nd Super Bowl in 4 years
(Mon, 06 Feb 2012 00:50:34 PST)
Tom Brady let his final pass fly toward the scrum of players in the end zone, hoping for an incredible finish. Uh-uh, Tom. Not in this city, and not in this game. Indianapolis is a Manning town, whether it's Peyton or Eli pulling out the wins. And the Super Bowl is suddenly the province of the New York Giants, who have figured out how to topple Brady and the New England Patriots in the biggest...

Giants take advantage of Patriots' gamble for TD
(Mon, 06 Feb 2012 00:46:34 PST)
Bill Belichick saw the New York Giants at the 6-yard line and a clock with only 64 seconds left on it. Let the Giants score, and New England gets the ball back with enough time for a game-winning drive. Stop `em, and the Giants were going to run the clock down before bringing Lawrence Tynes on for a game-winning field goal and the Lombardi Trophy.
